Well, just a matter of hours after I said Del Rio badly needed this win because he wasn’t “over in the main event way” (in our Chamber preview) Alberto shut my mouth here. He came out to one of the biggest pops of the evening. Throughout the match he had a large portion of the fans chanting his name. It was a very split crowd. Naturally, this meant Kofi was having a hard time tonight. He had his fans, but he got a lot of boos. All that said, they had a hell of an opener with great, great heat throughout. This was Alberto’s best singles performance to date, including the bouts with Rey and Bryan. After Alberto worked him over from the go, Kofi started his comeback with a big springboard out of the corner which got a big pop.
